5 Southern Maryland County Fairs Meet

The 5 southern Maryland counties of Prince George's, Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's met on Saturday April 25 to exchange information, network, and enjoy a delicious lunch. The meeting was hosted by the Prince George's County Fair. Lynn Talbert, President of MAAFS, also attended the meeting. Featured speaker for the day was a representative from the Free Mason's organization, Jim Cloud (also a board member of the P G County Fair). The Freemasons of Maryland have a program that can help with locating missing children. The Child Identification Program (CHIP) collects basic identification data including a photograph, finger prints, and identifying characteristics for each child in your family and provides you with a permanent record on paper and on a CD. They can come to your fair to provide this free service. Last year Prince George's County Fair took advantage of this program.
