Word has been received from Annapolis that the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee at this time does not plan to move forward with budgetary cuts to the Maryland Ag Fair Board Funding, as has been recommended by the Department of Legislative Services. MAAFS is offering the “Consumer Protection Program” developed by the IAFE (International Association of Fairs and Expos). It will be held on Saturday, March 13th, from 8am-4pm, at the Frederick Fairgrounds, in Frederick, MD.Cost will be $160 for the first attendee from each fair, $130 for each additional attendee. Thanks MAAFS for such a worthy fundraiser. The Anne Arundel County Fair Inc. has made good use of the Golf Cart since we won it at last years convention. Weather picking trash hauling supplies or setting out trash cans for events this cart was much needed. Since seeing the great uses and how much we needed this improvement our members and friends so far this year have sold 60 Golf Cart raffle
